The Entel DX485 is a digital and analogue walkie-talkie offering advanced features such as individual and multi-group calling. It is IP68-rated and therefore completely immersible in water without damage. Digital speech clarity and enhanced voice reproduction make understanding radio messages easy. It also features an emergency button which can alert colleagues of a problem, and also a settable "lone worker" feature that requires the radio's user to press a button every so many minutes to confirm that they are OK. Finally, it can be fitted (at a small extra cost) with a "man down" tilt switch so an alert can be sent to colleagues if the radio is left on its side (implying that something has happened to the radio user).
